OHIOPYLE, PA

At least once a month, Evan and I make a point to try to travel somewhere, even if it’s only an hour or two away, to get out of town and get away from work/computers/etc. Yesterday, we took a little day trip to Ohiopyle to hike and hang out by the river. Its been 800 degrees outside for the past few weeks so there were so many families out swimming and enjoying the end of summer. We hiked a really pretty trail up to an overlook above the Youghiogheny River Gorge and then back down to sit on the riverbank. I also ate a really, really delicious cone of peanut butter pretzel ice cream.

Evan gave me a science lesson on spiders, birds, and ecology on the way up, so I taught him about photography on the way back.

(he did a pretty good job!)
