This past weekend I got the fabulous opportunity to photograph Pittsburgh’s 3rd annual Thrival Festival. The weekend of music is just a small part of an awesome week of panels, demonstrations, and screenings of all things “innovation,” with the intent of showing how Pittsburgh is no longer a dying steel town, but a thriving, tech-centric city. It’s genuinely one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced, and the fact that it is showcasing my favorite city in the universe as the beautiful place that it is makes it even better.
The music festival was awesome: the performances were killer, the venue served some really good locally brewed beers, and best of all my darling editor-in-chief Jake got to come to the city and hang out for the weekend (photos/vlog of that to come later). All in all 10/10 weekend, I’m very excited for next year. Until then, check out the photos I took from this weekend!
