I drank 4 liters of water, filled an entire 64GB SD card with pictures, got a tan line on my forehead from the band of my baseball hat, watched over a dozen amazing bands perform, hugged some incredible friends, worked alongside people who I have looked up to since high school, and had the most surreal experience of my life, which was watching Yellowcard play “Ocean Avenue” – a song that has to me defined summertime for as long as I can remember – at sunset, during one of their last performances ever. So many wonderful things happened and even though I’m sunburnt and sweaty and gave myself shin splints, I am so happy to have had this day. I truly cannot say enough about how proud and grateful I am to have had this opportunity; I hope this is only the first of many.
